Penn State Football is in the middle of its busy Spring schedule. While James Franklin and staff are focusing on onfield results, they still have to impress on the recruiting trail.

The month of April is reserved for sporting moments like the Final Four, MLB Opening Day, and the playoff push in the NBA and NHL. You won’t find Penn State Football included in any of these discussions.

April for Penn State Football consists of Spring practices and a lot of work behind the scenes. Spring practices are regarded as a time for player development and implementation of new schemes. All the practices culminate in the return of the Blue-White Game on April 23rd.

April is also looking like one of the more important months for visits from top recruits. And the Nittany Lions are on a recruiting hot streak.

The 2022 recruiting class finished the cycle ranked as the sixth-best class in the nation.

James Franklin and his staff are trying to replicate that success in 2023. Early returns in the 2023 cycle have been great. The class currently is ranked as high as fifth in the nation.

Penn State Football has a full slate of recruits making visits to campus. Here are the five that Penn State Football has to nail.
