Penn State Football signed one of the top recruiting classes in the country for the 2022 cycle, and some of those players might be expected to be contributors right away as true freshmen.

Offensively, Penn State Football will look to improve upon many of last season’s weaknesses, one of which was the running game, so freshmen running backs Kaytron Allen and Nicholas Singleton may be expected to step up and be productive early in their careers.

Another weak point for the Nittany Lions‘ offense in 2021 was the backup quarterback position, which may have cost them the game at Iowa. Drew Allar is more than capable of earning that spot, and could thrive in that role as a true freshman adjusting to the collegiate level.

The Nittany Lions also have some question marks along the defensive line, so what might that mean for Zane Durant and Dani Dennis-Sutton? Will they be able to make an impact in their first year in a Penn State Football uniform and turn some of these predictions into reality?

Many of these players, or perhaps all of them, will likely see their playing time increase throughout the season.

Let’s make some bold predictions for what some of Penn State Football’s highest-rated true freshmen might be able to accomplish in year one on campus.
