James Franklin held his yearly spring football kickoff press conference on Monday. One of the biggest revelations during the press conference was the state of the offensive line for Penn State Football.

The offensive line is always a question that James Franklin has to address during a press conference.

In his first press conference to kick off the first spring football practice, Franklin clarified the current pecking order of the offensive line.

There was some interesting movement within the position group that Franklin announced. For starters, there was no mention of Bryce Effner.

Franklin also announced a position change to help out with depth during spring practices. Defensive tackle Alex Furmanek will be switching sides of the line and working with the offensive line.

Here is the projected starting offensive line for Penn State Football heading into the first spring practice.

Left Tackle-Olu Fashanu

Olu really came on late last season and appeared to be one of Penn States’ better offensive linemen. Olu started the bowl game against Arkansas and looked good in his first start.

Left Guard-Landon Tengwall

Like Olu, Tengwall got his chance late in the season and made fans wonder what took so long for the true freshman to see playing time.

Center-Juice Scruggs

Juice Scruggs was arguable the best offensive linemen for Penn State last season. It will be good to have him back in the middle of the offensive line for another season.

Right Guard-Sal Wormley

Sal Wormley took a redshirt last season after earning the Developmental Squad Offensive Player of the Year his freshman season. The right guard position is probably the most up for grabs position on the offensive line.

Right Tackle-Caedan Wallace

Caedan Wallace joins Juice Scruggs as the experienced offensive linemen for Penn State Football. Wallace started all 13 games for the Nittany Lions last season.
