Continue to Win in Recruiting

Recruiting is and always has been an arms race of sorts.

There’s a reason that Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and Ohio State lead recruiting rankings and continually make the College Football Playoff. Until Penn State Football is ready to compete with that group, let’s focus on Michigan.

If you look at the current rosters, Michigan has the advantage when it comes to overall talent. The way Penn State changes that, is to continue to win the recruiting battle.

Michigan Football is really consistent when it comes to recruiting. Jim Harbaugh recruits nationally and routinely brings in top-ten classes that are ranked higher than Penn States’.

That was until the 2022 recruiting class. James Franklin brought in the sixth-best recruiting class in the nation. Topping Michigans’ recruiting class for the first time since 2018.

Guess what is happening early in the 2023 recruiting class?

Penn State Football currently has the fourth-best recruiting class in 2023. Michigan is close behind at eighth. Penn State has to continue to win the talent battle against Michigan to close the gap.
