Former Penn State Basketball head coach Pat Chambers has been hired as Florida Gulf Coast’s next head basketball coach

Florida Gulf Coast officially announced the hiring of Pat Chambers to be their next head coach Monday.

The former Nittany Lions head coach was fired from Penn State Basketball in October of 2020, just days prior to the start of the season due to using the word ‘noose’ while speaking to a player that had previously transferred from the program.

Chambers led the Nittany Lions to the number nine ranking in the nation and were a lock to make the NCAA Tournament prior to it’s cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now that #theclimb is alive and well down south, who may Pat Chambers start recruiting and how could that affect Penn State?
