Penn State Football is currently on spring break, after what might be the most difficult time of year for them, winter workouts. However, spring practice is right around the corner for the Nittany Lions.

Penn State Football will begin its spring practice schedule on March 21st, and conclude it on April 23rd with the Blue-White game, which kicks off at 2:00pm inside Beaver Stadium.

The NCAA allows for 15 on-field practices during this period, so there is plenty of time for players to learn and develop, as well as compete with their teammates for playing time.

The quarterback room is undoubtedly one of the biggest question marks this offseason, and all of the young quarterbacks can greatly benefit from spring practice, but for one of them in particular, these will be the most important practices of his life.

At linebacker, a couple of young and promising players will be competing for a starting job, as the Nittany Lions look to replace Ellis Brooks and Brandon Smith.

Some other inexperienced players at positions such as wide receiver and defensive end can gain a lot this spring, as well as a promising young offensive lineman looking to help the position group that has been Penn State Football’s Achilles’ heel under James Franklin.

Each and every player can certainly benefit from more practice reps, especially the early enrollees, but there are some that stand out above the rest in terms of how much these next couple of months can benefit them.
