Does Minnesota care about this game?

That’s the question that we really don’t know. It seems that Penn State Basketball could get a nice lead early and then run away with the game as the Golden Gophers have really looked like a team just trying to get the year completed.

The problem is, Penn State doesn’t Basketball get out to a lot of large leads with their slow-down style of offense. Minnesota has no problem going slow either so this could be a pretty ugly game.  However, with only a few exceptions, Head Coach Micah Shrewsberry has got his team up for almost every game and after finishing with three tough losses, a win or two in the conference tournament could go a long way towards a positive feel into the offseason.
