Penn State Basketball’s Cinderella scenario

Next up for Penn State Basketball, would be the incredibly well-rested No. 8 in the nation and No. 3 seed Purdue Boilermakers.  Purdue would be playing their first game of the tournament while Penn State would be playing their third game in three days.

If this matchup comes to pass, it would pit Shrewsberry up against his mentor Matt Painter and former team.

Penn State Basketball actually played Purdue very tough two months ago, falling 74-67.

The Lions trailed by double digits in the second half, came back to take the lead, and still lost to the then #3 team in the nation.

But let’s just say the Nittany Lions pull another one out.

Penn State would match up against either No. 10 in the nation and No. 2 seed Wisconsin Badgers, Michigan State Spartans, or Maryland Terrapins in the conference semifinals.

And if Penn State Basketball somehow wins that one, go by yourself a lottery ticket.
