Penn State Wrestling’s Beau Bartlett secures an automatic bid into the 2022 NCAA Wrestling Championships for the No. 1 Nittany Lions

With his win in the 7th place match in the 2022 Big Ten Wrestling Championships, Penn State Wrestling’s Beau Bartlett has successfully guaranteed himself a spot in the NCAA Championships coming up in two weeks.

His 3-1 decision win over Michigan’s Kanen Storr was the first meeting between these two in their college careers. And I’m sure the victory is special for Bartlett as he missed out in last year’s NCAA Championships due to an early exit in the 2021 Big Ten Championships.

The wait is finally over, Beau!

Bartlett will be the first Penn State grappler to don the blue and white singlet in the NCAA’s since Brady Berge last qualified back in 2019.

And as we have stated in the past, Beau Bartlett might be a key piece in bringing home the Nittany Lions’ ninth NCAA Championship in the past 11 years. Especially with the recent struggles from Drew Hildebrandt and Greg Kerkvliet.

Let’s just hope Cael Sanderson and crew iron these out before shipping out to Detroit.

Stay tuned to Victory Bell Rings as the rest of the exciting 2022 Big Ten Wrestling Championships continue later on today.
