Former Penn State Basketball standout Tim Frazier has found a new NBA home, joining Nittany Lions’ guard Lamar Stevens with the Cleveland Cavaliers

Tim Frazier is back in the NBA and he’s joining another Penn State great.

Sources confirm Tim Frazier has signed a 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers as they continue a push towards a surprising playoff push.

Frazier has been in the NBA for 11 years now, with the majority of his time in Portland and New Orleans. He also played for the 76ers, Wizards, Bucks, Pelicans, Grizzlies and most recently was signed by the Magic earlier this year.

A career 40% shooter in the NBA, Frazier was signed to bring some stability to the backcourt bench play for the Cavaliers.  If he is resigned after the 10-day contract, it would likely be for his veteran experience for their upcoming sprint to the postseason.

Frazier has compiled over 1100 assists in the NBA, averaging 4.0 assists per game in just an average of 17.7 minutes per appearance.

He joins fellow Nittany Lions great Lamar Stevens, who signed a contract with the Cavs late last year. Both Stevens and Frazier went undrafted but worked their way through the NBA’s minor leagues to earn their roster spots.  While Stevens will be on the roster this year and beyond, we hope Frazier can stick around long enough to earn a postseason roster spot!
