Penn State Football is on the hunt for a edge rusher in the transfer portal and top target  Ochaun Mathis may be heading to Happy Valley

Top available defensive end Ochaun Mathis surprised everyone when he included Penn State Football in his top five Thursday afternoon on Twitter.

The former TCU edge rusher entered the portal in early January and has multiple crystal ball predictions in on him, all sending him to the Longhorns, however it seems he may not be done with the process and is down to these five schools and figures to be making official visits in March.

Mathis would be a huge addition by the Nittany Lions staff.

Listed at six-foot-five and 257 pounds he is the prototype defensive end every team in the country is looking for. He also has the production to back it up.

The Texas native has racked up 15.5 sacks over the last three seasons with a career high nine coming in 2020. He would be the ideal fit to replace Arnold Ebiketie who Penn State Football landed in the transfer portal last season and went on to have double digit sacks in 2021.

Mathis hails from Manor, Texas so getting him to come north to State College is going to be a challenge but would be this staffs most impressive portal addition over the past two seasons.
