Penn State Football: Auburn players NIttany Lions can target if Tigers turmoil continues
By Andrew Adair
Defensive recruits Penn State Football can target
S DaKaari Nelson
DaKaari Nelson is another recruit out of Alabama that both Penn State Football and Auburn are targeting. Nelson is a four-star safety that has visited both schools in recent months. The Penn State visit was for the Rutgers game in November. While the visit Nelson took to Auburn was for the Georgia game, where Auburn was not competitive.
Nelson would fill a need and is another blue-chip recruit that would build up Penn States’ secondary. Auburn is currently the favorite to land Nelson, but that could change with Harsin’s future being unknown.
LB Dee Crayton
Dee Crayton plays a position of need for Penn State. The linebacker out of Georgia is a four-star recruit. Crayton could be a little harder to flip for James Franklin and staff. Crayton has visited Auburn three times in the last year. He has only made one visit to Happy Valley. That was for one of the recent junior days that Penn State hosted.
Penn State has made an impression on Crayton. Defensive Coordinator Manny Diaz will have to close the deal if Auburn finds itself with a new coach soon.
