By Evan Smith
New Penn State Football defensive coordinator added a familiar name to his coaching staff in former Nittany Lion great Dan Connor.
Penn State Football has added three ‘analysts’ to their coaching staff headlined by the Nittany Lions‘ all-time leading tackler, 36-year-old Dan Connor.
Connor was a two-time All-American for Penn State and started all four years. He finished with 47 tackles more than the 2nd place, Paul Posluszny.
Connor has coached high school (Archbishop Carroll High), college (West Chester University and Widener), and was affiliated with the Tennessee Titans in the NFL. He played 6 years in the league, was drafted by the Panthers, and spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants.
Joining Connor are Gabe Infante and Rick Lyster.
Infante is a former running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Temple University and Lyster was a defensive quality control analyst at Miami last year under now Penn State defensive coordinator and then Miami head coach, Manny Diaz.
Welcome to Happy Valley Coach Infante and Coach Lyster, and welcome home, Coach Connor!
