No. 1Penn State may be without one of their top wrestlers tonight in their dual meet against No. 6 Ohio State

Coming on the heels of one of the best low scoring matches I have ever witnessed, as Carter Starocci was able to outlast Iowa’s Michael Kemerer 2-1 in TB-2 last Friday night, it’s possible the Nittany Lions may be without one of their hammers tonight.

There hasn’t been any official word from the Penn State Wrestling department but it sounds like Starocci suffered a wrist injury during the epic match.

And word is also circulating on the interwebs.

There’s also a possibility Penn State will be without Brady Berge.

If this turns out to be the case, it’s obviously not great news as the Big Ten Championships and NCAA Championships are right around the corner. But there is still time to rest and heal up, which could possibly explain why the Penn State faithful may not see the normal lineup tonight.

And speaking of tonight, again if Starocci and/or Berge aren’t able to suit up, I don’t believe the outcome of the dual meet against No. 6 Ohio State will change.

As I highlighted in the preview, Berge’s matchup against Carson Kharchla probably wasn’t going to end with Brady’s hand raised in the end.

Regarding the final score prediction, the real final score might be a little closer than some people would like. However I have full confidence in Cael Sanderson and the rest of the talented Penn State lineup.
