What Penn State Football can expect from heralded early enrollees

Penn State Football running back – Nicholas Singleton
After having one of the worst rushing attacks in Power 5 football last season, Penn State Football fans are anxious to see Nicholas Singleton in Nittany Lions’ uniform, and for good reason.
The Pennsylvania native can virtually do it all from a ball-carrier perspective, as he has good size and strength, and great speed.
However, to be a complete back in the Big Ten, he will need to work on things such as pass-catching and pass-protection, both of which he did not have to do a lot of in high school. Spring ball is an excellent time for him to be able to work on those facets of his game.
Singleton can and will play a lot of meaningful snaps from day one, but if he truly wants to be a three-down back right away, he will need to improve upon those things from now until September.
Also, while Singleton does not have any weaknesses physically, it never hurts for a freak athlete to become even stronger and faster, similar to what Saquon Barkley and Miles Sanders did in Penn State’s strength and conditioning program.
If Singleton can refine his game to become a complete back, as well as continue to improve upon his already elite athleticism, he can be that explosive running back that can score from anywhere and make something out of nothing, which is something that the Nittany Lions lacked last year, and need this year.
