Penn State Basketball has announced the Nittany Lions will now face the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Feb. 17, as part of a doubleheader

Penn State Basketball announced the rescheduling date and time of the postponed Minnesota game.

The game, previously scheduled for January 19th, was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Golden Gopher program.  Because this was a conference game, the Big Ten Conference had to find an appropriate time to play the game.

The new game time is 4:00 pm on February 17th as part of a doubleheader (with the Penn State women playing at 7:00 pm).

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for this game.

For Penn State Basketball, the game will be sandwiched between the Spartans of Michigan State visiting on Tuesday and a trip to Maryland Monday. Minnesota will be at Ohio State the Tuesday before the game, likely why the date was chosen, and then return back to Minnesota for a home matchup vs Northwestern.

Penn State Basketball will likely not see the three non-conference games lost due to COVID-19 being rescheduled (at VCU, Quinnipiac, and Delaware State).

Penn State Basketball currently sits 3-6, and in 11th place in the Big Ten, with a 3-6 record in conference play.
