How B1G changes rumored to be coming to Big Ten impact Penn State Football
By Nick Kreiser
Penn State Football fans can show off their power nationally
Penn State Football fans are known to show up in large numbers, regardless of where their Nittany Lions are playing.
However, with the exception of bowl games, they rarely get to show it off outside of the Big Ten.
Scheduling more non-conference games against other Power 5 teams would give fans the opportunity to take over and also explore other stadiums and campuses of ACC and Pac-12 teams, as well as allow fans from those conferences to come to Happy Valley and experience the spectacle that is Beaver Stadium.
Being that Penn State has the largest alumni network in the world, there are Nittany Lions fans everywhere, not just in Pennsylvania and neighboring states. So, regardless of where the Nittany Lions play, there will be plenty of Penn State Football fans in that region of the country, as well as many more willing to make the trip there from the northeast.
How fun would it be for Penn State fans to White Out opponents’ stadiums in states such as North Carolina, Florida, or California in some marquee non-conference games in September? Sign me up.
