Monday: Roster Changes

It’s not uncommon in today’s college football landscape for there to be a lot of roster turnover, and Penn State is no different.

While some Nittany Lions have entered the transfer portal and have found new homes, like Noah Cain and LSU, others are preparing for a shot at the NFL or life away from football.

As Audrey Snyder of The Athletic pointed out, seven players who had seen playing time, and in Miranda’s case started, are no longer listed on the official roster.

The names on this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, considering Miranda, Whigan, Sullivan-Brown, Hansard and Hartlaub were entering their sixth year of eligibility and Penn State has been selective in who they ask to come back for that “Covid year” of eligibility.

Penn State Football is still looking in the transfer portal to fill holes at linebacker, defensive edge and offensive tackle. Although the wide receiver room will lose Jahan Dotson, George and Sullivan-Brown, Mitchell Tinsley was added via the portal to help fill the hole.
