Left Guard

Sal Wormley – Rs. Sophomore

We have learned from Franklin this season that Wormley was in line to be a starter at guard this past season under an unknown injury that kept him out for the entire season.

Assuming he is back to full health he seems to be in line for a starting role in 2022 in the interior of that offensive line. We know that Penn State Football is in the top five for transfer Hunter Nourzad who could come in and push for a starting role should he choose the Nittany Lions.

At six-foot-three and 310 pounds, Wormley passes the eye test of what a guard should look like at this level.

Because of the injury, Harvard transfer Eric Wilson started 11 games at guard this past season and was solid, and gave the Nittany Lions all they could have hoped for when he chose Happy Valley.

Assuming Wormley was going to start over Wilson ins 2021 prior to being injured, this could be a nice improvement from this prior year along the line here for Franklin and company.
