Additions via the transfer portal

There are plenty of holes in the roster and places where Penn State Football lacks experience and depth.

Luckily, in the modern version of college football, it is possible to fill these voids via the transfer portal.

The Nittany Lions already added wide receiver Mitchell Tinsley from Western Kentucky through the portal, but some other positions of need are, offensive line, defensive line, linebacker, and safety.

While it is unlikely that they will be able to find a production in the portal at all of those spots, if they could find at least a couple, it would still be a tremendous help.

Not only can they add talent to the roster through the transfer portal, but they can add depth as well.

Last offseason was the first time that Franklin really dove into the transfer portal, bringing in players who played big roles on the 2021 team, especially along the defensive line with Arnold Ebiketie and Derrick Tangelo.

Franklin will have to have another good offseason in the transfer portal to help Penn State Football build the best roster possible in 2022.
