Stacy Collins’ west coast success

Stacy Collins played linebacker for Western Oregon and earned his degree in Physical Education.

Collins played for the Wolves football team from 1993 to 1997.  Upon his graduation, he joined the coaching staff in Monmouth, Oregon as the special teams coordinator (talk about full circle with his hire at Penn State).  Collins also coached the linebackers for three years while earning his master’s degree.

He moved briefly overseas to Austria, serving as the defensive coordinator for the Vienna Vikings of the Austrian Football League, which included a brief stint as Interim Head Coach.

Collins quickly returned to the northwest, with stops at South Dakota (Defensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator), Western Washington (linebackers and special teams), Idaho State (linebackers), Southern Oregon (defensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator), Central Washington (special teams coordinator, defensive line and linebackers) and Portland State (special teams).
