Penn State Football head coach James Franklin wasted little time filling the special teams coordinator vacancy, hiring Stacy Collins on Tuesday

Penn State Football head coach James Franklin made a big announcement Tuesday with the hire of Stacy Collins as Special Teams Coordinator.

Collins will also coach the Outside Linebackers and Nickels coach for the Nittany Lions.

"“We are excited to welcome Stacy Collins to Happy Valley,” Franklin said of the hire, in a statement released by the program Tuesday. “As a veteran coach, Stacy brings a wide variety of experiences to our staff having served as a head coach, defensive coordinator and special teams coordinator during his career.”"

Collins himself added that he is excited to work with Coach Diaz on the defensive staff and that he “looks forward to developing and growing our special teams units which has had a history of success during coach’s tenure.”
