Penn State Basketball delivered head coach Micah Shrewsberry his first B1G win, upsetting Indiana, could more success be on the way for the Nittany Lions?

Penn State Basketball stunned the Indiana Hoosiers, 61-58, Sunday afternoon to give Micah Shrewsberry his first conference win as a head coach.

The spread opened at Penn State +2.5 but was bet up as high as four points, showing heavy money coming in on Indiana.

The Nittany Lions pulled off a stunner to avoid an 0-3 start in conference play.  Who could have seen this coming!

Penn State Basketball’s upset couldn’t have happened without these three key standouts:

Myles Dread’s coming out party

The much maligned senior guard Myles Dread balled out against the Hoosiers.

Dread played 22 minutes and as is his role, play defense against players much bigger than him without fouling out (he finished with three fouls).

The key was Dread’s shooting from beyond the arc, finishing 4-5 from three, his only shots on the day.  Adding four rebounds, two offensive and an assist without a turnover, Dread was the standout yesterday for the Nittany Lions.
