Penn State Football defensive tackle – Derrick Tangelo

Derrick Tangelo came on strong down the stretch of the regular season, with 13 tackles in the final four games.

This season, Arkansas has three running backs (basically) reach 500 or more rushing yards.

  • Trelon Smith: 592 yards (5.1 yards per carry)
  • Raheim Sanders: 499 yards (4.9 yards per carry)
  • Dominique Johnson: 498 yards (5.8 yards per carry)

The defensive line will need to have one of their best games of the season against this excellent running game, especially the guys on the interior.

With a lack of depth at defensive tackle, Derrick Tangelo is (unfortunately) going to have to play a lot of snaps against the Razorbacks, who have a trio of backs to rotate through, allowing them to stay fresh and wear down the defense.

Derrick Tangelo is going to have to have a career day to help Penn State Football’s defense slow down one of the nation’s best rushing attacks.
