856. . . . Cowboys . 4. team

Rank: 5
Record: 7-0
Ranked Wrestlers: 9

125 No. 11 Trevor Mastrogiovanni
133 No. 2 Daton Fix
141 No. 21 Carter Young
149 No. 15 Kaden Gfeller
157 No. 13 Wyatt Sheets
165 No. 5 Travis Wittlake
174 No. 9 Dustin Plott
184 No. 12 Dakota Geer
197 No. 1 AJ Ferrari

The Cowboys have had a busy start to their 2021-2022 season in participating in seven duals. This included ranked matchups against No. 10 Minnesota, No. 21 Stanford, No. 22 Wyoming, and No. 25 Utah Valley.

But for a team of Oklahoma State’s stature, facing four ranked teams outside of the top nine isn’t exactly a tall order.

And it wasn’t because Oklahoma State dispatched No. 10 Minnesota 23-10, throttled No. 21 Stanford 29-7, destroyed No. 22 Wyoming 30-3, and obliterated No. 25 Utah Valley 37-0.

So if you’re counting at home, that’s four ranked teams and combined score of 119-20 in favor of the Cowboys. Which for a team as loaded as Okie State is, well, expected.

Oklahoma State will continue to be tested this season with duals scheduled against No. 18 Iowa State, No. 23 Northern Iowa, No. 14 Missouri, and No. 1 Iowa.

But next up for the Cowboys is a trip to Chattanooga Tennessee to participate in the 2021 Southern Scuffle on January 1st and 2nd.
