4. Arnold Ebiketie strip-sack puts Michigan on the ropes

Penn State Football played host to the No. 6 ranked Michigan Wolverines in November, and with three losses already on their record, the Nittany Lions had outside hopes of a New year’s Six bowl on their mind, but also thoughts of ruining Michigan’s season.

It was another ugly offensive game for Sean Clifford and company but a tough scoring drive followed by a successful two-point conversion tied the game at 14 with just over seven minutes to go in the game.

On the ensuing possession, defensive end Arnold Ebiketie delivered one of the most memorable defensive plays of the season. With 100,000 plus on their feet, and Michigan facing a third down and long, Ebiketie sacked quarterback Cade McNamara and knocked the ball loose, which the Nittany Lions would recover, setting them up in Michigan territory.

Penn State Football would settle for a field goal and really had Michigan’s playoff hopes in the balance, but ultimately the Wolverines would prevail and escape Happy Valley with a 21-17 victory.
