What Penn State Football signees are poised to make biggest impact in 2022?

Penn State Football offensive tackle – JB Nelson
It is clear that Penn State Football needs to make significant improvements along the offensive line going forward, and JB Nelson has the best chance out of any of the linemen in this class to make an impact in 2022.
Drew Shelton is a higher-rated recruit than Nelson, but Nelson is a JUCO player from Lackawanna Community College. So, he has collegiate experience, albeit not Power 5 experience, but he has still faced stiffer competition than Shelton has in high school and will be more physically developed and prepared for Big Ten football in 2022.
We are not yet sure who is staying and who is leaving from the 2021 offensive line, but regardless, Nelson should compete for a starting job, either at tackle or guard.
James Franklin will surely look to add players to the offensive line via the transfer portal, but depth and competition is necessary to bring out the best in a position group.
Hopefully, Phil Trautwein, who has had success developing talent in the past, can polish Nelson into a solid Big Ten offensive lineman, both in pass protection and in run blocking.
Look for the JUCO transfer to compete for a starting job in 2022, and use his length and athleticism to help improve a struggling unit for the Nittany Lions.
If JB Nelson could be the offensive line version of what Jaquan Brisker was coming in from Lackawanna, we would all be very happy.
