Penn State Football punter – Alex Bacchetta

The Nittany Lions will (in all likelihood) be losing Jordan Stout this offseason, who was one of the best punters in the country in 2021.

Jake Pinegar will presumably be taking over the kicking duties, but who will be the punter?

Alex Bacchetta is the number one ranked punter in the country for the class of 2022, so he is certainly one of the front runners to win that job.

Blake Gillikin was the last Penn State Football punter to start as a freshman, and he had an excellent four seasons in Happy Valley, and is now having a great season with the New Orleans Saints.

Alex Bacchetta has a great shot to earn the punting job this season, and if he does, he will be a valuable asset to the special teams with his powerful leg, giving him the ability to flip field position in an instant.
