Ji’Ayir Brown – Safety

The other half of the Lackawanna connection in the back half of the Penn State Football defense had a huge year after winning the starting job out of camp.

Brown finished third on the team in tackles with 67, collected four interceptions and had five pass breakups as well. He had a key interception to seal the game in week one against Wisconsin and an interception return to seal the victory against Maryland.

Brown did not partake in Senior Day festivities at Beaver Stadium this season in the home finale against Rutgers, but said he has still not made a decision on next season. Brown did not get a Senior Bowl invite like his counterpart Jaquan Brisker and has not had his name come up in much draft talk to this point.

The safety got a first hand look at the development, improvement Brisker made in returning for another season which will ultimately make him more money come draft day.

Prediction: Brown will return for a final season in 2022 with Penn State Football and have a Brisker like break out season.
