If you take the offensive line out of the conversation, the tight ends would be the most disappointing position group in 2021.
The Nittany Lions will need this talented group to step up to replace Jahan Dotson. The group is highlighted by Brenton Strange and Theo Johnson, both of which were 4-star recruits according to 247 Sports.
The tight end room struggled to find any real momentum in 2021. There was se games that they had no bearing on and others where they had drops in key situations. For the offense to have success in 2022, the tight ends will have to be better.
