National Signing Day tracker: Penn State Football Set to Sign Top 10 Class
Penn State Football is primed to sign one of the most impactful recruiting classes of the James Franklin era, beginning during the early-signing period Wednesday
The day Penn State Football fans have been waiting for is finally here.
Wednesday is the start of the early signing period for college football, and a day that could be transformational for the Nittany Lions under head coach James Franklin.
Penn State Football is set to sign its highest-rated class since 2018 this cycle. The class is highlighted by 5-star quarterback Drew Allar and a score of 4-stars including, Nick Singleton, Kaden Saunders and Dani Dennis-Sutton. The class ranks fifth nationally as of Wednesday morning.
The Nittany Lions’ class has 25 commits and there hasn’t been much indication that any of them will not sign during the early signing period.
The one to note is that offensive tackle commit Andre Roye was recently offered by USC and 247 Sports reported that he did visit USC this past weekend. Penn State Football is not expected to land any more commits on Wednesday either.
While Franklin and his staff hope everything goes as planned, but that is not always the case when it comes to recruiting.
Commits are expected to sign all throughout the day, with Allar signing before school in the morning, and 4-star tight end commit Jerry Cross not expected to do so until after school on Wednesday.
It is noteworthy for Franklin and Penn State that both Florida guys, Zane Durant and Cam Miller, signed Wednesday morning. Both play a position of need and keeping guys from Florida committed is never easy.
Here’s a look at everything you need to know about Penn State Football’s class, with live updates during early National Signing Day:
