Penn State Football and James Franklin agreed to a massive seven-year contract extension Tuesday, and the social media reaction was swift
It’s official Nittany Nation, James Franklin will be the Penn State Football Head Coach for the next decade.
The massive, 10 year contract was met with a variety of reactions throughout the interwebs and even though it shows Penn State Football is all-in on Franklin, not all fans were happy…
He sucks and drops of bags of money for recruiting it will come out eventually and still even with those money bags still can't beat Ohio State. 8 million for 7-5 I mean he got over on Penn State for sure but I'd rather have Norvell over Franklin any day of the year.

I can’t believe Franklin got a 10 yr ext. In his 8 years as PENN STATES Head Football Coach he is 1-7 against Ohio State, 3-5 against Michigan, and 3-4 against Michigan State. That's a cumulative won/loss record against these 3 institutions of 7-16. And that sucks

And this one looked into their crystal ball to determine Franklin’s news guarantees Luke Fickell’s next destination:
James Franklin staying at Penn State furthers the fact that Luke Fickell will be the next head coach at USC. A Starbucks employee in Hyde Park said they saw Fickell’s wife on Sotheby’s website checking out real estate in Los Angeles area Sunday evening

Wow. I wish we had that type of clarivoyance.
But this has to be the piece de resistance:
That’s it! We may never win a game again. In all my days of supporting this team this is the final straw, I cannot take this utter embarrassment of this team any longer. I’m now taking my fandom to Pitt where they know how to win big games and have a great coach.

Imagine hating a coach who has won the conference, and made three New Years 6 bowl games so much you rescind your fandom and switch to the rival.
Fortunately, it matters much more about what the recruits from the highly ranked 2022 class are saying. Checking here is the #1 QB recruit in the nation:

And Allar went even further on Instagram!
Someone may want to tell @JoeTorch7 that the highest-rated recruit at the most important position in the sport ain’t going anywhere!
If he's such a great recruiter why are the top recruits going to other schools?

The internet isn’t known for well reasoned takes, but welcome to Penn State fans on Franklin Extension Day!
