Grades and MVP from Penn State Football’s shutout victory over Rutgers
Penn State Football Running backs
Grade: D+
Context does matter here, as Penn State Football was without both starting tackles in Rasheed Walker and Caedan Wallace, but once again the Nittany Lions were unable to get any type of running game going.
Keyvone Lee led the team in rushing with 41 yards on 13 carries, while Noah Cain only touched the ball seven times for 29 yards. Lee did also have a touchdown but once again they lacked any consistency on the ground and were unable to generate any big plays as neither Lee nor Cain had a run longer than nine yards.
The two longest rushes of the game came from quarterbacks Veilleux and Mason Stahl which is never ideal, especially against a Rutgers defense 69th in the nation against the rush surrendering 153 yards per game.
