Did Penn State Football find its QB for the future?
By Chris Snyder
Christian Veilleux makes history in debut, can he secure Penn State Football’s’ QB job?
Christian Veilleux is the first Nittany Lion since Anthony Morelli to toss three touchdown passes in their first full-time appearance in a game. And that was 15 years ago.
So what does all of this really mean?
First off, the question of “Why didn’t Veilleux play in the Iowa and Illinois games” absolutely BEGS to be asked.
Why did he not play?
I can’t imagine he was that bad in practice to not supplant Roberson. Because from a non-coaching perspective (ie. mine), it appears that Veilleux can do a lot of the same things Clifford can do and the offense doesn’t really need to change a whole lot.
But, I’m not paid a ton of money and I was not in any of the practices. So I’m not able to make that call.
However, after seeing Christian today, I firmly believe Penn State Football beats Illinois and I think they had a decent chance of holding on to beat Iowa.
So let’s spin this going forward.
Is Christian Veilleux Penn State Football’s QB of the future?
I say “Yes. I believe he is.”.
That is until either Allar or Pribula are ready to take the reins and lead Penn State to another level. Which won’t realistically be until the 2023 season.
So I say, turn it all over to Veilleux from this week on.
Sean Clifford, you’re a warrior, but it’s time for a change at QB going forward.
