Penn State Football vs Rutgers: Key players for Nittany Lions to pick up a win
By Nick Kreiser
Penn State Football defensive end – Arnold Ebiketie
Arnold Ebiketie has been nothing short of excellent this season for the Nittany Lions.
He has compiled 8.5 sacks through 10 games, which is third in the Big Ten, and also leads the conference with 15.5 tackles for loss.
“AK” has tallied at least 1 sack in six of the last seven games, including 2 sacks (1 strip-sack) last week against Michigan.
He has an opportunity to continue his hot streak, as Rutgers does not have a great offensive line.
This game is a perfect opportunity for Penn State’s pass rush to take over the game, including Ebiketie and Jesse Luketa.
The Nittany Lions should be able to get out in front early in this game and play with a lead, which is a pass-rushers dream.
Getting pressure on the quarterback will be especially important in this one so that Rutgers does not have a chance to get the ball to Bo Melton.
If Arnold Ebiketie can once again take over the game and fill the stat sheet, the Nittany Lions’ defense can shut down the Scarlet Knight offense and come away with a victory.
