The Penn State Wrestling Team hosted Army on Thursday evening for a dual meet in Rec Hall where the Nittany Lions prevailed 32 to 7.

For the first time since February 23, 2020, Penn State Wrestling was greeted by a raucous home crowd at Rec Hall as the Nittany Lions bested Army in an early-season dual meet.

Shakeups in the lower weight classes was the theme of the evening, as Brandon Meredith made his dual meet season debut at 141 and Terrell Barraclough took over at 157. However, this wasn’t all good news for the Nittany Lions as both Meredith and Barraclough fell in a decision 5-2 and a major decision of 9-0 respectively.

Joe Lee and Alex Facundo have yet to make a dual meet appearance, but it’s safe to say the Nittany Lion faithful will see one of them at some point this season.

The hammers of the Penn State Wrestling lineup did what they do best in demolishing the competition as RBY, Carter Starocci, and Max Dean scored tech falls and Greg Kerkvliet added a major decision of his own.

The match of the night once again featured Beau Bartlett as he worked his magic against P.J. Ogunsanya to take a thrilling 3-1 decision in SV.

It’s safe to say the back end of this Penn State Wrestling lineup is straight-up filthy

Next up for the Penn State Wrestling team is another home dual against inter-state rivals Lehigh on December 5th at 2:00 P.M. in Rec Hall.
