Recapping Penn State Football’s win at Maryland … and our prediction

In our last column, we said Maryland would win if starting quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa would need to lead them to victory.

We said Tagovailoa would need a QB Rating of 170.0+.

Tagovailoa fell WELL short, with a 55.4 QBR (41-57, 371 yards one TD and one INT).

We said Penn State Football would win if they got 100 yards from the RB position.

Keyvon Lee (eight carries for 50 yards), Noah Cain (10 carries for 35 yards), and John Lovett (seven carries for 24 yards) finished with 109 rushing yards. We excluded the one carry from TE Tyler Warren (0 yards), the five carries from QB Sean Clifford (for -12 yards) and the two team carries (for -4 yards).

So, Maryland didn’t do what it needed to do and lost.

Penn State Fotball did what it needed to do and won.

Sounds like a clean sweep from VBR to me. That moves us to 7-2 on the year on our predictions.

Here’s Penn State Football’s, and Michigan’s biggest key to victory Saturday.
