Northwestern gave Iowa its best shot, as they fell 17-12 on Saturday.

The defense played pretty well, but once again, Iowa benefitted from turnovers. Wildcats quarterback Andrew Marty threw three interceptions, resulting in just seven Iowa points, but still enough to make a difference.

This team just isn’t very good, but they at least made it a game and tried to play spoiler. They’ll have another opportunity to do so on Saturday as they face Wisconsin.
