Recapping Penn State Football’s loss to Ohio State … and our prediction

In our last column, we said Ohio State would win if they prevented Penn State Football from an average starting field position outside of their own 35.

The Nittany Lions’ average starting field position was the 23-yard line. This was after giving the Lions the ball in OSU territory to start the game but then for the remainder of the game, Penn State Football never started past their own 25.

We said Penn State Football would win if their time of possession was five minutes greater than the Buckeyes. OSU actually won that battle by 20 seconds.

While that’s a nice performance, it certainly wasn’t enough for Penn State Football to pull off the upset. VBR moves to 6-2 on the year.
