After starting 5-0 it’s hard to believe that Penn State Football has lost three straight and currently lies in the back half of these rankings.

Are the Nittany Lions the ninth-best team in the conference? No, but the injuries, which helped lead to the three straight losses, have them here.

Penn State lost to Ohio State 33-24 on Saturday, in a game that was closer than the score indicates.

The Nittany Lions hung in there until a late interception by Sean Clifford more or less sealed the game as Ohio State was able to add a field goal to push the lead to nine. Clifford did give another valiant effort, throwing for 361 yards and a touchdown, but the interception and a strip-sack that was returned for a touchdown, helping Ohio State pull out the win.

This team still can’t run the ball, they had 33 rushing yards in this game, making them way too one-dimensional to be successful. Maryland is up next, we’ll see if they can turn this season around.
