Young Penn State Football players gaining experience

Not all of the future of Penn State Football is still in high school.

Many players currently on the roster, and even some that already see action, will play huge roles on the team next season and beyond.

There are some current starters with some potential who could take their game to the next level with more experience, such as Caedan Wallace and Curtis Jacobs.

Additionally, there are some older players who have seen some action for the first time this year and will need to play bigger roles next season, such as Bryce Effner and Charlie Katshir.

On the defensive side of the ball, where the Nittany Lions will lose a lot of production this offseason, there are a lot of players that need experience for the future.

True freshman cornerback Kalen King is one of those players.

King has a ton of potential and has seen some playing time in big games this year. There are also young linebackers such as his twin brother Kobe King, as well as Tyler Elsdon, who have not played much this year but will be expected to sooner rather than later.

There are many other names on both sides of the ball who will see an upgraded role next season, and they all need experience. Those who do see some action now will benefit greatly playing some of the top teams in the conference, such as Michigan and Michigan State.

Additionally, a game like Rutgers that could/should be a blowout late in the game if the Nittany Lions play like they played in almost every game except for Illinois, young players can get a chance to see more live game action against someone other than their teammates in practice.
