Miles Sanders suffers ankle injury … How long will he be out for Eagles?
Miles Sanders was knocked from the Eagles’ loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, in the first quarter of Sunday’s game.
Former Penn State Football standout, and Philadelphia Eagles running back, Miles Sanders was knocked from Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders with an ankle injury.
Sanders, who rushed for 30 yards on six carries Sunday afternoon, departed in the first quarter with the injury.
While the Eagles have used Sanders sparingly over the first six weeks of the season, he could be on the shelf for an extended period of time.
Multiple reports surfaced Monday that Sanders did not suffer a broken ankle, likely avoided a high-ankle sprain, but could miss the next two-to-three weeks.
What’s next for Miles Sanders?
Through the first six games, Sanders has rushed for just 300 yards on 63 carries, while averaging 4.8 yards per attempt, and has yet to score a touchdown.
Sanders had been mentioned in some trade speculation, given his limited role so far this season, but his injury could certainly complicate any potential trade talks.
If Sanders is able to make the timeline to return, he’d be in line to get back on the field in time for the Eagles’ Week 10 matchup in Denver against the Broncos.
