Second Half Prediction – Ellis Brooks finishes with 100+ total tackles

Ellis Brooks has been excellent at middle linebacker so far for the Nittany Lions. He was instrumental in their week 1 win over Wisconsin, and he has accumulated 44 total tackles, including a sack, through the first six games.

Brooks has done this despite missing the first half of the Ball State game due to a targeting penalty against Wisconsin.

Once again, Brooks probably has at least 7 games remaining to get to 100 tackles, with 56 to go. That averages out to 8 tackles per game, which is not easy, but also not impossible. He has averaged just over 7 tackles per game so far, despite missing an entire half of football. Brooks has had three games so far this year where he has had 8 or more tackles.

If Brooks is able to reach the 100 total tackle mark this season, not only would it be very impressive, but it would also be huge for this defense to continue to roll.
