Second Half Prediction – Tyler Warren throws a touchdown
Tyler Warren has already rushed for two touchdowns this season out of the wildcat formation, but I suspect he will get the opportunity to throw one soon.
Warren is a former high school quarterback in the state of Virginia. As a senior, he threw for 1,149 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also threw for 881 yards as a junior, 891 yards as a sophomore, and 733 yards as a freshman.
So, Warren is definitely comfortable throwing the football, and has the ability to do so. To this point, Mike Yurcich has only used him as a runner down near the goal line, but it is only a matter of time before someone sneaks open in the back of the end zone and Warren can get a touchdown pass.
Even when Warren is on the field as a tight end, not taking a direct snap, they may find a way to get it to him by-way of a lateral and allow him to throw from that point.
Either way, I would be shocked if Warren does not get the opportunity to throw the ball by season’s end.
