Penn State Football – Revisiting Preseason Predictons/2nd Half Predictions

Preseason Prediction – Arnold Ebiketie Reaches Double-digit Sacks
When I made this prediction, I suspected that “AK” would be one of the best players for this Penn State Football defense, and he has been exactly that.
Through six games so far this season, Ebiketie has four sacks to go along with 31 total tackles. Similar to the running backs at the halfway point of the regular season, he is not quite at the halfway point of my prediction for him. But also like the running backs, he will have at least one extra game to work with in a postseason/bowl game.
There have also been numerous occasions when the transfer from Temple has gotten heavy pressure on the quarterback, and almost gotten more sacks.
Additionally, he has also gotten a sack in each of the last two games, so he may be starting to hit his stride this season. Now with a bye week to get some fresh legs, and Illinois next on the schedule, Ebiktetie might be able to put a dent into those 6 remaining sacks he needs for my prediction to come true.
The Illini are last in the Big Ten in sacks allowed, with 21 already on the season. Penn State also has to play Maryland yet, who is currently 12th in the conference in sacks allowed.
I have complete confidence that I will hit on this prediction, and Arnold Ebiketie will finish the 2021 season with at least 10 sacks.
