Penn State Football and Pitt Agree … Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz is dead wrong

Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz pulled off the unthinkable; getting Penn State Football and Pitt to actually agree on something … Iowa’s coach was dead wrong
Talk about a strange bye week.
Pittsburgh Panters Head Coach Pat Narduzzi came to James Franklin’s defense over the injury controversy still lingering in Iowa City.
Kirk Ferentz, the Iowa Hawkeyes Head Coach, said his fans “smelled a rat” in defense of their boos over the multiple Penn State Football injuries a week ago … It’s worth noting that P.J. Mustipher was announced out for the year earlier this week, and we still have no word on Sean Clifford, who was unable to return to last week’s game either.
"“Put yourself in the shoes of a parent,” Franklin told reporters following Wednesday’s practice. “Your son is down on the field for an injury, and then the stadium is booing…is that good for college football? Is that good for college football?”"
And that was figured to be that as PSU enters a bye week and Iowa prepares for a match-up vs the Purdue Boilmakers.
Until long time Nittany Lion rival Pat Narduzzi got involved?!?
"“Lot of talk about cramps and tempo this week,” Narduzzi told reporters Thursday. “I don’t agree with James Franklin on a whole bunch, but James I’ve got your back. When you’re not playing a fast tempo offense, a team that huddles … that’s a bunch of baloney.”"
All it takes for rivals to come together is some nonsense coming from Iowa City, it seems. We appreciate Narduzzi’s honesty and candor in calling Ferentz’s comments what they truely are … baloney.
