The annual occurrence of Maryland falling on their face in conference play may be upon us.

A week after getting destroyed by Iowa 51-14, the Terps were rocked by Ohio State 66-17 on Saturday.

The Maryland defense allowed the Buckeyes to throw for 432 yards and add another 166 on the ground. Ohio State scored touchdowns on eight of their first nine drives, the one drive they didn’t score on was a kneel down to end the first half.

Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa was better than he was against Iowa, completing 28 of 39 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns. He did throw two interceptions as well, which gives him seven in the last two weeks. The loss of star wide receiver Dontay Demus Jr. is surely being felt.

Although turnovers haven’t helped them, the Maryland defense has now allowed 117 points in the last two games. Not great to say the least.

Maryland is on bye this week and they have some things to get straightened out.
