The Scarlet Knights’ 3-0 start is now a thing of the past, as they have dropped their first three conference games.

Now, those three games came against three of the five best teams in the conference, so it’s difficult to say that Rutgers in the 11th best team in the conference, because they’re probably not.

They hung in there in the first half against Michigan State before falling 31-13 on Saturday afternoon. It was a 14-13 game in the second quarter, but then Rutgers just let the game get away from them as they did nothing offensively in the second half.

Michigan State racked up 588 yards of total offense too, so it was a poor performance on both sides of the ball.

Rutgers heads to Northwestern this week, so we’ll see if they can get their heads straight and beat a team that they are probably more talented than.
