Big Ten Power Rankings for Week 7: Michigan, OSU Rise
Michigan came back to defeat Nebraska 32-29 on Saturday.
Just when it looked like Adrian Martinez was going to march Nebraska down the field and win the game, Brad Hawkins made a heads up play and striped Martinez. Hawkins then picked up the ball and got far enough to put Michigan comfortably in field goal range.
The Wolverines brought out their powerful running attack again, as the team ran for 204 yards and three touchdowns. Hassan Haskins led the way with 123 yards and two touchdowns.
It wasn’t the best day from Michigan’s defense, as they gave up 431 yards, but as Hawkins proved, it’s all about making plays with the game on the line.
Michigan is off this week. They’ll use this week to prepare for the home stretch, which includes games against Michigan State, Penn State and Ohio State.
