In his third full season as the starter for the Nittany Lions, Sean Clifford is having his best season yet and looks cool and confident under pressure this season.
Clifford has had some big moments with Penn State before, but it seems like he is playing on another level this season. He is the perfect quarterback for a Penn State team looking to make a big run, as he has played in big games before, is not afraid to take shots downfield, and has some elite talent in front of him along the offensive line.
If Clifford continues to play with this kind of effectiveness, as well as this kind of confidence, you have to like the Nittany Lions’ chances against any team on their schedule. It is going to be a tough road, and one that will have to take some luck as well as strong play, but in the end, this team is set up to make a legitimate run to the CFP, and they have a signal-caller that can get them there.
